The Venmar brand started as a pioneer in commercial air-to-air energy recovery ventilation. Formed in 1980 under the name Conservation Energy Systems, the company started as a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) manufacturer before expanding its scope of products, first to light commercial in the late 1980s and then to the applied market in 1994. Over the years, Venmar brand equipment became a top choice for creating quiet, comfortable, and healthy indoor environments across North America.

In 1997 the Venmar brand expanded the energy recovery system and dedicated outdoor system product offerings of Nortek Air Solutions when it joined our family of brands. Today the Venmar brand continues to focus on innovating and manufacturing semi-custom (integrated and non-integrated) commercial energy recovery systems and custom-packaged HVAC solutions for a variety of applications.

To ensure that Venmar customers receive the equipment that they specify and ultimately purchase, all of our equipment is factory-run tested and checked prior to shipment. All of our manufacturing facilities have fully equipped checkout stations. These checkout stations feature:

• All voltages available in North America to power up and electrically test all products and components (blowers, compressors, electric coils, etc.)
• Gas feed to run test any gas-fired heating equipment
• Water/glycol tanks to pressure test and run test packaged refrigeration systems
